Shamwari Game Reserve, Eastern Cape

Lovely for honeymooners, the thatched, ethnically decorated Villa Lobengula is tucked deep into the valley bushveld and gives one that distinctive Colonial experience. It overlooks the sweeping plains leading down the the Bushmans River. After a game drive you can relax, swim or enjoy a drink at the sunken pool bar in the lovely pool area. In fact, the lodge has two pool areas - one on the lawns and the other, more private and out of sight of the lodge, surrounded by aloes. The wooden deck overlooks the dense African bush and provides a great location for having meals or listening to mystical African storytelling in front of the fireplace.
